Discipline Explained
What is Personal Training at Elite Health?
Private, 1-to-1 training in a dedicated studio — led by advanced exercise specialists who hold additional therapy or condition-specific qualifications. Not a gym floor with a stopwatch.
More than a fitness session
Every Elite Health Personal Trainer holds at least one qualification beyond their PT certification — in Sports Therapy, Osteopathy, Back Pain Management, Parkinson’s exercise, or rehabilitation. So your session isn’t just an hour of exercises — it’s programming designed by someone who understands the clinical context of your body.
Sessions are completely private. It’s just you and your Personal Trainer in one of our two studios — no audience, no distractions, no waiting for equipment.
How a typical journey works
- Health screening. A baseline assessment of your health history, goals, and any conditions that affect how we train.
- First consultation. We map out a plan together — what success looks like for you, how often you can train, and which Personal Trainer’s specialism fits best.
- Sessions. 1-hour, 1-to-1, in the studio. Sessions are programmed in advance so your time isn’t spent waiting around.
- Review and progress. Regular check-ins so the programme evolves as you do.
Who we train
Our clients are not the typical gym demographic. Many are in their 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond. Many are managing one or more long-term conditions. Some are training for a goal — an event, a knee replacement, a return to riding — and some simply want to feel stronger and keep up with grandchildren.
- Older adults wanting to stay strong, mobile, and independent
- Clients with multiple conditions — Parkinson’s, diabetes, osteoarthritis, MS, hypertension
- People recovering from surgery or NHS physiotherapy
- Beginners building confidence away from a busy gym floor
- Experienced trainees who want intelligent programming, not random workouts
- Equestrians and athletes needing sport-specific conditioning
Qualifications and professional standards
Our Personal Trainers are accredited through CIMSPA (the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity). Our founder, Jacqueline Bosworth, is a CIMSPA Senior Practitioner with a specialist qualification in Exercise for the Management of Back Pain — one of the few in the region.
