Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about training and therapy at Elite Health Knutsford. Can’t find the answer here? Get in touch.
Do I need to be fit to start training at Elite Health?
No. Most of our clients begin from a low fitness base — many are managing a long-term condition, recovering from surgery, or have not exercised for years. Every programme is designed around your current ability and progresses at your pace.
Is Elite Health a gym?
No. Elite Health is a private personal training and therapy studio, not a public gym. Every session is one-to-one with a qualified Personal Trainer or Therapist in one of our two private studios. No other clients are present during your appointment.
How much does Personal Training cost?
Personal Training is sold in packages: 10 sessions from £53 each, 20 sessions at £50 each, and 40 sessions at £49 each. Training for Two is also available. See the full Pricing page.
What conditions do you work with?
Back pain, sciatica, arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, hip and knee replacement recovery, Parkinson’s, MS, stroke recovery, post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and chronic joint pain. Not every trainer covers every condition — we match you to the team member best suited to your situation when you book. See How We Help.
What is the difference between Sports Therapy and Osteopathy?
Sports Therapy focuses on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries using soft-tissue and exercise-based techniques. Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession (registered with the General Osteopathic Council) that uses hands-on manipulation, soft-tissue work, and joint articulation. Both are practised at Elite Health.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes. Osteopathy and Sports Therapy home visits are available within a 5-mile radius of Knutsford. Personal Training is delivered in-studio only. Home-visit pricing is shown on the Pricing page.
How long is a Personal Training session?
Personal Training sessions are one hour. Therapy sessions are 45 minutes, with a 30-minute follow-up option available for Sports Therapy.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No referral is needed to book any service. However, if you are managing a medical condition, recovering from surgery, or have been advised to exercise with caution, we always recommend you speak to your GP, consultant, or physiotherapist first. Bring any relevant medical information to your first appointment.
What should I wear for my first session?
Comfortable sports clothing and supportive trainers. For therapy appointments, loose clothing is helpful. Towels, water, and parking are all provided.
Where is Elite Health located?
14A Princess Street, Knutsford, WA16 6BU. We are a short walk from Knutsford town centre and around 15–25 minutes by car from Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Altrincham, Northwich, Macclesfield, and Holmes Chapel. Parking is available nearby.
Are your trainers qualified?
Yes. Every Personal Trainer at Elite Health holds a Personal Training qualification plus at least one additional therapy or specialist qualification (Sports Therapy, Osteopathy, Strength & Conditioning, Back Pain Management, or Exercise for Parkinson’s). Our Osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council. Meet the team.
What is the cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged in full. This protects the trainer’s time and lets us offer the slot to another client where possible.
How do I book?
You can book online via our Book Your First Visit page, by phone on 01565 625800, or by email at info@eliteh.co.uk. New clients begin with a first appointment so we can understand your goals, history, and any conditions we need to consider.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes. Gift vouchers are available for Personal Training, Sports Therapy, Osteopathy, and Massage. Please call 01565 625800 or email info@eliteh.co.uk to purchase.
Can I train at Elite Health if I’m under 18?
Yes — we accept clients from age 12. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at every session.
