Our nutritional programme is based around the maintenance of a Food Diary, a Nutrition Assessment and results in verbal and written recommendations on intakes and food choices. Nutritional Advice is included in any course of Personal Training Sessions.

Weight management is not just about losing or gaining weight, but maintaining a weight that will keep you healthy long term.
We easily develop habits and behaviours in our everyday lives in relation to food and our overall lifestyle. It is true to say that many of us lead busy lives, eating “on the go” often pre-prepared or processed foods where the sugar, salt and fat contents are often high. Can you remember making a conscious decision about what you were going to eat for lunch today or did you grab what was easiest in the five minutes you had? Have you ever got home from a stressful day at work, opened a bottle of wine, sat down to relax and before you know it you’ve had 3 glasses and two bags of crisps to go with it? Most of us have done this at some point.
It is also vital, when looking at weight loss or weight gain that we have a good understanding of our body’s requirements, our present nutritional intake and our physical activity levels. Only by looking carefully at these can we assess what changes need to be made and how we can make them. Fundamentally if our habits and behaviours are left unchanged the risk of regaining unhealthy weight or losing healthy weight, is much higher. In other words keep doing the same and you’ll keep getting the same results.
